Kickgen.Com To Sponsor Worlds Largest Open Martial Arts Tournament — July 4-5 At Disneys Coronado Springs Resort

ORLANDO, Fla. — KICKgen.com, the fast-growing Orlando based international web community for martial arts aficionados, will be a primary sponsor of the 36th annual ISKA-sanctioned U.S. Open World Martial Arts Championship July 4-5 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Tracy McCoy, chief operating officer at KICKgen.com, said the web community signed an exclusive agreement to distribute the video of the event, including the Night of Champions, which will air on ESPN2.

“The Night of Champions will feature the top martial arts competitors from more than 26 countries and will crown the 2008 ISKA World Champion,” said McCoy.

In the world of martial arts, the ISKA-sanctioned U.S. Open World Martial Arts Championship ranks as the Super Bowl, Olympics and U.S. Open all rolled into one. More information and tickets are available at www.usopen-karate.com.

“The ISKA-sanctioned U.S. Open World Martial Arts Championship is a highly visual, action-packed media event and many past tournament champions have seen their careers springboard into movie roles, including Larry Lamb, (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) Mike Chat, (Power Rangers and XMA) Arnold Chun, (Pirates of the Caribbean) Craig Hendrickson and Matt Mullins (Sideswipe, America's got Talent) and Steve Terada (Memoirs of a Geisha, American Idol),” McCoy said.

KICKgen.com is a member of the University of Central Florida Incubation Program at the Downtown Incubator facility. The web community, which launched last year, is a primary participant in a major motion picture set to start production next year.
