Dear Martial Arts School Owners, Instructors & Students,
It is with great pleasure that I invite you and your students to participate in the 2nd Martial Arts All Styles (MAAS) Championships to be held in Hamilton on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th November 2004 at the Hillcrest High School Gymnasium starting at 8:30am each morning.
After the Success of last years Inaugural M.A.A.S. Championships held here in Hamilton. We are honoured to host this spectacular event once again. Having an array of many different martial arts organisation competing over a two-day event was outstanding to see. We would like to thank everyone that made the journey last year from throughout New Zealand and Australia.
These M.A.A.S. Championships will be paying tribute to Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin Karate. It will be an awesome opportunity to commemorate and celebrate the 10th Year of Sosai's passing away in April 1994.
Because M.A.A.S. is classed as an International event we are anticipating seeing a lot of new young guns coming through the Kata and fighting realm. So we are inviting all Kyokushin groups and all Martial Arts Styles and Organisations to come and be part of this tribute. All are welcome; it is going to be huge!
Our aim is to unite Martial Artist under one umbrella to help grow the Martial Arts Industry throughout New Zealand without politics and Style/Organisation prejudice. We want you to be apart of the Martial Arts 'REVOLUTION'.
