Sunday 29th June saw the running of the 4th Annual World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (NZ) National Tatami Sports Championships. Cold wet weather and other tournaments meant numbers were lower than from previous years, but we still had competitors representing Whangarei, Auckland, Paeroa, Hamilton, Tauranga, Te Kuiti, Hastings and the host town Te Awamutu. The day was enjoyed by all with the calibre of entrant’s extreme high. WAKO (NZ) would like to thank all competitors that attended this years Nationals, the Officials that ran the areas, Nibun Martial Arts for the loan of the Mats and TopTen New Zealand for the loan of the fighting gear.
