Soke Brian Dossett is a Martial Arts “living legend” with more than 40 years of consummate study in the fighting arts, with his experience and achievements are countless, this is why his name is known by all in the martial arts network.
In the 1960’s, Soke Brian Dossett formulated his Spirit Combat Jujitsu as a modern art, and after the training that he had received from some very reputable Japanese instructors he went on to develop own ‘hybrid’ martial art system.
He took parts of other martial arts, Judo, Aikido, Karate and Boxing and put them together to form a modern style of Jujitsu. In more than 40 years very little has had to change in this art, most changes that have occurred are to improve the safety of the art to come up to modern standards and expectations.
He has introduced his style of martial art to students all over the United Kingdom, Europe, India, USA, Australia and New Zealand just to name a few.
He has taught his restraint techniques to law enforcement and security officers all over the world too!
To list all of his accomplishments, honors and awards would be impossible, and yet to say that he has made a difference in the martial arts world, would be an understatement.
He has given over 40 years of his life to Martial Arts, and it is his love for life, and most of all it was what he believes in and trusts. He is a natural teacher, and a “let me show you” attitude kind of man.
And when he shows you something, it will be an experience that you will never forget, and its something powerful enough to change people’s lives.
“This year, many of us in North America, New Zealand and Australia have had the opportunity to see Soke Brian Dossett in action again, and to witness the fluidity and effectiveness of his Modern Jujitsu martial art form, and to witness this very healthy and fit 67 year old man, is really quite amazing!” says his student Master Vince Palumbo of Australia.
Soke Brian Dossett is a 10th degree black belt, and he is also one of the true legends of the martial arts to have come out of the United Kingdom. He is the founder of Spirit Combat Jujitsu International, which is a fighting style that combines his over 40 years of experience in various martial arts.
Soke Brian Dossett is a member of many martial art organisations all over the world, and he is also to be considered as a reference point, especially in the art of Jujitsu.
Soke Brian Dossett is deeply committed to sharing his knowledge and principles with all of his students from all around the world, and he is only too willing to demonstrate techniques to an interested audience.
He helps ex-offenders by teaching them self-respect, self-control and honesty through the martial arts.
To this day, Soke Brian Dossett continues to work with disadvantaged youth and senior citizens around the world, and he is a great role model for young children practicing the martial arts.
“Soke Brian Dossett can teach you the real essence behind Judo, Jujitsu and Aiki Jujutsu techniques, because this man has the ability and knowledge to give any dedicated student the ‘Golden keys’ that will help you to unlock the many secrets behind the Judo, Jujitsu and Aiki Jujutsu closed doors!”, says Master Vince Palumbo of Australia.
His Spirit Combat Jujitsu system is unparalleled in its combat effectiveness and brute simplicity, and it can be blended with any martial art style that a student already practices, and it will give you the edge on your contemporaries that are studying the same martial art that you are already currently studying, says Master Vince Palumbo.
Spirit Combat Jujitsu in its most basic form, means survival through simplicity, and it is based upon the divine knowledge of self, and the art’s most practical technique applications.
While on the physical level, the system is based upon simplistic movement to key areas of the body; thereby dictating controlled responses in defense of one’s life, and this is why the Spirit Combat Jujitsu system incorporates the strengths of many arts such as Karate, Boxing, Judo, Aikido and Kickboxing too.
The joint locking and nerve attacks of Spirit Combat Jujitsu, teaches the modern day warrior to walk the Earth in peace and never to be the aggressor.
“But when attacked, to fight with those who seek to fight, and if we are given no other alternative but to fight, we are willing and capable to have a fight to the death, if this means our survival from the attack!”, says Master Vince Palumbo.
Soke Brian Dossett teaches to be civilised and gentle people, but to also have the ability to fight like a cornered Tiger, especially if it means your survival in a very nasty and violent situation on the street!”, says master Vince Palumbo.
“My Martial Art is my song, and I do strive to teach everyone how to sing it!”, says Soke Brian Dossett.
