Next year (Aug 2014) S.A.F.E Self Defence are looking at inviting Hock Hochheim over for a weekend seminar in Auckland (2 days), the seminar will contain some if not all of the following:
Hand
Stick
Knife
Gun
Worst case scenarios
Police Judo
Pacific Archipelago Combatives and Filipino materials
Skill, flow, speed and coordination fighting drills
Counter-Crime street survival tips and strategies
Rank progression available
Instructor development
What we're doing just now is gauging interest from self defence, CQC and martial arts schools, clubs and businesses to see if they'd be interested in attending. Ideally, looking at a minimum of 18 people to make this happen, costs to be finalised but you would be looking at around NZ$450.00 per head. Obviously the more interest then the cheaper the course will become.
For those who know Peter Sciarra or are one of his instructors then Peter trained under Hock so we know how good this seminar will be. This is definitely a seminar not to miss out on.
W. Hock Hochheim has taken over four decades of martial arts, along with military and law enforcement experience and distilled it into a universal, "essence of combat" system of street-effective tactics covering Hand, Stick, Knife and Gun.
Hand, Stick, Knife, Gun Hock's Close Quarter Combat is designed to defeat the enemy soldier and the criminal.
There are two ways to defeat the enemy: less-than-lethal means and lethal means. In short, sometimes we take them prisoner and sometimes we have to kill them. A competent practitioner can do both as legally, morally and ethically needed in a proper use-of-force continuum. Every conflict is highly situational. If you want to defeat the enemy soldier or the criminal, this is the system for you. Hock’s Close Quarter Combat bridges the gap between the police, the military, the martial artists and the aware citizenry.
