Clinch;

Greco-Roman

The wrestler who wins the coin toss holds his opponent under his shoulders without grabbing the arm of his opponent after being placed in a chest against chest position in the center of the mat.

He can execute his action immediately after his hold was carried out whatever the position of his opponent. The hold can be secured on all parts of the body from under the shoulders up to the top of the belt.

The referee-judge has to whistle for the start at once when the wrestler who won the coin toss was able to secure the hold. Regardless of his/her opponents position.

The current provision shall prompt the wrestlers to avoid the clinch and to score points during the 2-minute bout.

Freestyle

The athlete who lost the toss must stand upright with one foot in the circle.
The athlete who won the toss must assume a position on one knee with his head on either the inside or outside, grasping the opponent's leg. [Hands must be clasped only]
The athlete who lost the toss must place his hands on his opponent's shoulders [he/she must not sprawl].
The referee will then blow the whistle to commence.
The wrestler who won the coin toss can indicate to the referee the leg that his opponent has to put in the middle of the central circle [the left or right leg].

Duration of the clinch will be a maximum of 30 seconds, if after 30 seconds there has been no scoring action the wrestler who won the toss shall lose one point.

Under normal conditions if a wrestler pushes his opponent out of bounds his opponent will receive one point, however if a wrestler pushes his opponent out of bounds during the clinch he will receive one point

Recovery Time;

The duration of recovery time between matches is reduced to 15 minutes
