SOUTHERN DISTRICT MUTLI-STYLE TOURNAMENT
Saturday 10th March 2018
Attention: All Sensei’s and club members
A cordial invitation is extended to all styles to participate in this year’s tournament, hosted by the West Otago Goju-Ryu Karate Club.
Could all Club Instructors please indicate if they are available to referee during the day for Kata and/or Kumite. To be fair to all competitors, referees will be briefed beforehand.

| Tournament Rules | Attached. Any enquiries regarding these rules should be directed to the writer. All entrants please familiarise yourselves with Kumite rules, which will also be explained on the day. Dojos are asked to bring gloves, mouth guards (compulsory), groin guards, breast protectors, and shin guards if they have them. |
| Registration Forms | You can email Victoria on [email protected] and a copy can be sent to you via email directly. Entries close Saturday 24th February 2018. Penalty: $10 charge for late entries or any other late changes to draw. |
| Waiver | There is a waiver form to be filled out at the time of registration on Saturday morning for those entering Kumite, Iri-Kumi Ju or Iri-Kumi Go events. Competitors under 16 years must have the form signed by their parents or guardians. NO WAIVER NO FIGHT. |
| Entry Fees | Junior (14 years and under)-$30 for the first 2 events, $5 for each extra event. Colt (15-17 years)-$35 for the first 2 events, $5 for each extra event. Senior (18 years and over)-$40 for the first 2 events, $5 for each extra event. |
| Door Charges | Non-participants will be charged an entry fee at the door Adult or child over 5 – Gold CoinFamily – $5 |
| Canteen | Lunch and snacks will be available to purchase from the canteen. |
Please advice all students of the details of this tournament and encourage them to enter.
Medals will be issued to all place getters (1st, 2nd and 3rd) and certificates will be issued to all competitors taking part.
