WAKO World Championship New Zealand Team 2007

The NZ Kickboxing team attend the WAKO World Kickboxing Championships in Portugal November 26th to 2nd December 2007.

The World Kickboxing Championships are held in Coimbra from Thursday 26th November through to Sunday 2nd December. The team fly back on the 3rd, landing in Auckland 5th December at 10.30am. The Championships are sanctioned by World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO) and will have approximately 1200 Fighters form over 70 Countries.

The team members were selected for their prior performance, and all hold Titles or fought at title level. Wiki & Georgie are Husband and Wife, they have fought in Hungary and both hold National titles. Shaye Brooks, has fought in Hungary and Croatia. He holds the waikato title. Clint King has fought abroad a number of times, twice this year already, fighting in Canada and USA. He is a multiple Gold medallist for Tae Kwon Do and holds a National title. Carl Cowley has fought abroad and holds a National Title.

The coaching team Neil Fynn and myself have many years of Martial Arts background, myself a former English, British and European champion. Neil has experience in a range of Martial Arts and specializes in Full Contact kickboxing Coaching. Neil is the main cornerman for the team and assistant to myself through the trip.
