Kupa International Martial Arts — Mini Tournament Sunday 13th August 2006

On sunday the 13th August 2006 Kupa International Martial Arts hosted a Mini Tournament.

Over a hundred competitors entered from local dojo's which totaled around 9 as well as 1 from Palmerston North, 1 from Nuhaka, and 1 from Wairoa.This tournament was to be used as a practise for a Hamilton National tournament. Due to the success of this tournment organisers and supporters are looking at running bigger and more adventurous tournaments. With 36 divisions at a mini tournament all were in with a chance to win a trophy. The trophies were hand made by the organisers Tom and Olivia Kupa as well as their daughters. Trophies were for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd as well as for extra special trophies.Olivia says that her pleasure comes from the expressions on the childrens faces as they are presented the trophies.  The placings are as follows:
