Former Auckland Warrior set to make NZ pro-wrestling debut at event filmed for television!

Former Auckland Warrior Dallas Mead and reigning IPW New Zealand Heavyweight Champion Jon E. King have been announced as the latest entrants in November 10's NZPWI Invitational 2007 pro-wrestling tournament taking place in Whangarei.

Mead, who currently competes in IPW Australia in Brisbane will compete in his first ever New Zealand pro-wrestling bout at the Invitational and is an early favourite to take the event out.

When asked if he was surprised by his inclusion in the tournament, Mead was straight to the point.

"Why would I be surprised? Of course I'm included in the tournament. Don't ask idiotic questions and just let me do the talking in the ring.", Mead said.

The first NZPWI Invitational event recently aired on SKY1 and rated so successfully, that the network will be filming the Whangarei event for broadcast themselves.

The reigning IPW Champ was just as arrogant as Mead when asked for his reaction.

"Think about it. Jon E. King is really the uncrowned NZPWI Invitational Grand Champion, isn't he? That four eyed Gary O. Whatshisname cost me the opportunity to win that trophy last year.", King said.

"On November 10, my Personal Security Force will ensure a travesty of justice such as that witnessed last year will not happen again. They may as well engrave my name on that trophy right now. That piece of silverware is coming home with me. It'll look perfect next to my brand new IPW Championship belt!"

Tickets for the NZPWI Invitational 2007 are available now from Ticketek.
